Olay Product Review and $100 Sweepstakes

This is sponsored content BlogHer and Olay.
olay product
Hmmmm, this is an interesting post for me. I’m asking for some advice and help from my fantastic readers! I have never used a lot of makeup. I am still a total novice at knowing what to do to accentuate my positives and minimize my negatives! Really, I don’t even know where to start! But over the last couple of years I have been starting to care about my appearance, and taking care of myself,  and started wearing light makeup.

My skin has been starting to show the signs of aging. As in…age spots! ;(
I have not felt like I had the time or money to spend on it. However, I am finally at the point where I want to do something about it. And look what dropped in my lap!
I was lucky enough to be chosen to review Olay’s New Total Effects Cooling Hydration.  7 anti-aging benefits in one lightweight, refreshing formula.  Their claim is- Cooling,  lightweight hydration for younger looking skin.

Um, yes, sign please sign me up! ;)

I am so excited about this for many reasons. The first reason is that I have always loved Olay products. They are the first product that I could find for a daily moisturizer that also included sunscreen. I have loved that moisturizer. I have had offers to review other products on my site and have turned them down because I either don’t use the product, do not need the product, or do not feel the product is in line with my blog. However, I know that if I personally am looking for products for my face that many of my readers might also be in the same boat that I am in! ;)
After just one week with the product I already had people telling me that my face looked fresher and younger.  They could not put their finger on it, as they did not know I had been using this product!  Now I have been using it for almost a month and love it.  My age spots have even minimized already!  I was not expecting to see that, honestly!
I would love to have a discussion about this, here. What signs of aging are you seeing or feeling? How much change are you just willing to work with, and at what point do you want to try to fight back, if at all? What products do you use?

I'm pregnant with baby number 7 and the "mask of pregnancy" is horrendous! The big problem is that it didn't go away after my last baby and has just gotten larger this time. I wonder if Total Effects would work for me too.

I notice my uneven skin tone. I don't really hav wrinkles yet but I know they will come.

I love Olay's Regenerist products. No one ever told me that wrinkles would start so early. :) They've been with me too long already. I do have dark circles, like others, that I'd love to get rid of for good!

As I've gotten older, I've seen small little lines appear ... hate those. As for fighting back, I guess I've been doing that all my life because I learned, very young, that the way to have beautiful skin later in life is to take care of it early in life. So I've always moisturized and used sun screen. Except for those few lines, my skin looks pretty good. I use Olay products for daily use (the moisturizers with sun screen in them) and about once a week I give my skin a good dose of shea butter ... love it's moisturizing, healing properties.

Well, I am getting older and it wasn't until I hit 50 that I really notice it more. Wrinkles have increased of course but I feel the most important thing to do for yourself is to get plenty of sleep, we heal in our sleep the most, and moisturize! Eating good would also help in the process of aging.
